Southern Jewel Dog Rescue

Southern Jewel Dog Rescue (SJDR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All donations made to SJDR go directly to help the dogs that we rescue. SJDR rescue’s most all breeds of dogs, some dogs that we rescue are fairly healthy and merely need brought up to date on shots and spayed or neutered. Other dogs require complex surgeries for legs and hips as well as heart worm treatment and a number of other health issues.

We treat all treatable health issues on the dogs that we rescue and make sure that every dog is in the best possible health when they are put up for adoption.

 

SJDR does not have a shelter or building that we keep our dogs in. The dogs that we rescue go into a loving foster family after they have been vetted. This greatly reduces our overhead cost as well as helping to assimilate our dogs into a family environment before they go to there forever homes. This also allows SJDR to really get to know the dogs so that we can better place them in their correct forever homes.

 

We have over a hundred dogs in our care at all times, we go thru more than a thousand pounds of dog food every month and more than a hundred collars. We use over a thousand dollars a month in antibiotics and other medications and several thousand dollars a month in veterinary care.

We greatly appreciate every donation that we receive to help support our cause to save as many dogs that are no longer cared for or wanted.
