Southern Jewel Dog Rescue

Southern Jewel Dog Rescue is a non profit dog rescue organization which was started by Shelly Bookwalter of Last Chance Highway on Animal Planet. Shelly is committed to saving as many dogs as possible and finding them loving forever homes. Shelly and her volunteers rescue dogs on “death row” both in the South and in New England.

 

Our Mission is to save as many unwanted, deserving dogs as we possibly can. We save them from shelters, pounds, from the streets, and from individuals that wish to surrender them. We give these unwanted dogs one last chance to live a good life in a loving home. Southern Jewel Dog Rescue will make sure all our dogs are spayed and neutered as well as helping our local communities realize the importance of doing the same to their pets. We will work to make sure all of our dogs that we adopt out go to their new loving homes in the best health possible. Southern Jewel Dog Rescue has and always will promote the proper and humane treatment of all animals.
